HTC ONE ME ; Another overpriced smartphone

One ME sports plastic+metal construction The plastic back cover used in One ME is of very good quality, but same can be used to view your presence of fingerprints. On the sides is a metallic frame that, coupled with the high-quality poly-carbonate back panel,  which gives the smartphone a solid feel. The curved back casing makes it easy to grip on palm of a hand.

Hardware and software

HTC has picked the 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6795 chipset running at 2.2GHz to power the One ME smartphone, paired with 3GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards of up to 2TB (2,000GB) capacity, even though the maximum capacity available today is 200GB .

Camera

The camera app is smooth and the interface is simple enough to figure out all the controls. The 20-megapixel BSI sensor with a lens aperture of f/2.2 produces decent photographs, without much compensation in clarity.

The 4-megapixel UltraPixel sensor on the front camera is something that HTC has been trying out for a while, and it does take good self-portraits, and even the video quality from the front camera is quite decent.it has low-light capability of the front camera.

Battery

The HTC One ME packs a 2840mAh battery Streaming and playing videos, playing games or any type of video-intensive work results in drastic battery drops.

One ME runs on the company’s proprietary Sense UI, based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop).

HTC One ME’s software can store up to five fingerprints at a time. In terms of usage and operations, the software is smooth and easy to go through

Display and UI

The HTC One ME packs a 5.2” Super LCD3 display at a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. It is crisp, and anyone with an eye for detail will love watching movies on it. Brightness is ample, and sunlight visibility is excellent.

It retains Android’s notification panel, and lets you customise your home screens

The touch response is really smooth and accurate

Overall :

Display is really good but still doesn’t justify the cost and I expect it to correct itself in near future. 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6795 is powerful and will give a smooth UI and apps experience. Also battery doesnt do seem to justice if used with a brighter display.
